Kit Cunningham Reid has been added to the 2015 Australian Rowing Team by Rowing Australia bringing Sydney University’s contingent on the team to nine athletes and one coach.
Representing in the men’s quad is Cam Girdlestone, in the men’s double scull is Sasha Belonogoff, in the men’s pair are Jack Hargreaves and Nick Wheatley, Sally Kehoe is in the women’s double and Fergus Pragnell, Matt Ryan and Nick Purnell are in the men’s eight with Kit Cunningham Reid as sweep reserve. Mark Prater is the men’s pair coach.
Some Australian crews competed in the Word Cup last weeekend in Varese, Italy with Sasha winning silver in the double sculls and Jack and Nick winning bronze in the men’s pair.
The men’s eight leave this coming week for Henley and all crews will compete in the third World Cup in Lucern, Switzerland 10-12th July. The World Championships in 2015 will be held at Lake Aigbuelette in France from 30th August to 6th September.
