NSW State Rowing Champs 2009 Summary

All in all a great championships for SUBC with the men and women’s squads winning 18 Championships (14 directly and 4 as part of composite crews) and picking up 9 silver medals and 6 bronze. Major highlights for our team and our club were :

1. Winning the four major Elite Single Scull Championships. Men’s and Women’s Open and Men’s and Women’s Lightweight. 2. Winning the U21 Youth Eight (Colleagues Cup) for the seventh year running and with strong margin of 10.3 seconds. 3. Winning the Men’s and Women’s Elite Eights double 4. Placing 1st and 2nd in the Men’s Elite Eights 5. Winning the Men’s Elite Eight for the 5th year in a row 6. Winning the pointscore (Honours Trophy) for the seventh year in a row.
