Sydney University tops the NSW State Championships point score!


Congratulations to all athletes who raced at the NSW state championships in early February. Both the men's and women's open eights displayed some excellent racing to take out the championships in both events. The club won an outstanding 31.5 medals, with the gold medal winners listed below.

Whats next?


Next week, athletes from all around the country will travel to Lake Barrington in Tasmania to compete in the Nationals Championships. After a difficult year with lots of challenges, athletes from SUBC will be able to put their training to the test and compete from the 22nd-28th March with hopes of being invited to underage trials, which are held in the following week, also in Tasmania. On Sunday the 28th March, the King and Queens Cup Interstate Regatta will be held. SUBC has a large number of athletes selected onto state teams, including Annaleise Isaacs, Lucy Coleman, Sophie Houston, Kate Rowan, Georgie Gleeson, Hamish Parry, Tom Anderson, and Elliot Simpson with reserves Dani Stuart, Alex Smits. Hannah Scarborough was selected as cox of the NSW mens youth 8+. Jack Hanley and Chris Holliday have also been selected as state team coaches of the mens and women’s Youth 8+. The NSW Queens and Kings Cup crews are yet to be announced. We wish all our athletes good luck and success in their races!
