Sydney University Boat Club is a Rowing Australia supported “Pathways Club” with a responsibility of developing rowers within NSW to the level where they can be considered for Australian National Teams. 

SUBC is keen to provide the opportunity for school rowers (male and female) from Year 9 to Year 12 to develop their rowing ability and experience, after the school rowing season has finished, and to provide the possibility of some international rowing competition during the July school holidays.

  • Year 9

    • Sweep rowing school – 6 weeks from 29th of April – 9th of June

    • 2 – 3 on water sessions per week at Linley Point, Lane Cove; one land session at Sydney University Boat High Performance Gym every second week.

  • Years 10 - 11

    • SUBC Winter Program – 29th April – 5th July

    • 3 on water sessions per week, including one weekend session, land training in own time

    • 5 – 16 July: SUBC Youth Development Tour to USA Club National Championship, Cincinnati

    • 2020 July: Tour to Royal Henley Regatta, Henley-on-Thames, UK

  • Year 12

    • SUBC Winter Program – 29th of April – 5th of July

      3 on water sessions per week, including one weekend session; land training in own time

      5 -16 July: SUBC Youth Development Tour to USA Club National Championships, Cincinnati

      August – September: Further training for those available and interested

      11 November: Re-commence training after HSC

      23 November: Head of the Yarra tour, Melbourne

      2 December: Return from Schoolies, and integration into Elite Development Program
