SUBC Donor Board Unveiling

Over the period 2015 - 2019, the Boat Club was tasked with arranging a contribution from the sport at Sydney University to build the new Thyne Reid Boathouse at Lane Cove. This was to replace the famous A-frame shed built in 1964 and destroyed by fire in 2006.   Part of this commitment from the club was to raise directly from our alumni and friends over one and a half million dollars towards the construction costs.  

The Boat Club has now arranged a donor recognition board which has been made and will soon be installed in the upstairs deck area of the Thyne Reid Boathouse to acknowledge the donors who so generously helped us meet this target.   In these uncertain times it is hard to "Make a Date", but the Club would like to invite you to a ceremony to unveil the donor board at the boathouse followed by a light lunch and would like to thank you for your support of what was an incredibly important project for the Boat Club   As I mentioned - with all the uncertainty of the current lockdown we are projecting two dates for the unveiling which will be followed by a picnic lunch and drinks on the deck area of the boathouse.
